The beautiful, historic Seelbach Hilton hotel is now recruiting for our Security Team.

This is a Part time, various hours position. Must maintain a professional image-- business attire is a must (ex: suit and tie)

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Monitoring surveillance system,
  2. Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  3. Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  4. Documenting/Recording Information -- Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
  5. Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others -- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
  6. All other duties assigned

Skills required:

  1. Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  2. Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  3. Social Perceptiveness -- Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.

Knowledge, Experience, Education:

  1. Public Safety and Security -- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  2. Customer and Personal Service -- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  3. English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
    Law and Government -- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
  4. Clerical -- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Education:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.

Experience:

Prior law enforcement or other military experience required.
