POSITION: Community Engagement Coordinator (Full-Time)

The Art Academy of Cincinnati is seeking a full-time, experienced, and strategic Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a central role in advancing AAC’s visibility, access, and impact across the region through the management of arts outreach programs and public engagement initiatives. The role includes a six-month probationary period, after which a formal review will be conducted to assess performance and guide long-term success in the position.
JOB SUMMARY
The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) oversees daily operations and evaluation of programs housed in the Office of Engagement, including Future BFA, Artist and Writer in Residence, Camp Art Academy, Teen Academy, community education courses, portfolio preparation courses, and public programs. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of programs, supervising contracted instructors and program staff, maintaining studio spaces, and developing partnerships with schools, families, and community organizations.
The CEC represents AAC to local communities, builds sustainable engagement strategies, and ensures program excellence across all initiatives. The CEC manages planned public events from the Office of Institutional Advancement. This position requires a professional who can balance logistical oversight, community relationship-building, strategic planning, and the operational demands of high-quality arts education and engagement programs.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and project management skills, and a commitment to broadening access to the arts while strengthening the Academy’s role in the community.

This full-time, salaried position reports to the Associate Director of Engagement and the Director of Institutional Advancement and Community Engagement. The role also collaborates with staff and faculty at the AAC.
