AP & AR Clerk - ENTRY LEVEL
Since 1988, Southland Employment Services specializes in placing entry-level staff, technically skilled and industrial workers, light-industrial and logistics personnel, and clerical and administrative staff in a variety of diverse business sectors.
Southland Employment has grown substantially in recent years and needs an entry level AP & AR Clerk to help support our growing accounting team. We are looking for someone with a passion for numbers, crazy about details and a willingness to learn.
This position will be ONSITE working out of our corporate office in Bell, California. EXCEL IS A MUST!
Do you have these skills?
· Intermediate level ability with Excel including basic formulas and formatting is a MUST!
· Must be able to create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel including basic formulas and formatting
· Quickbooks Experience is a Plus!
· Precision Data Entry Skills
. Must love math!
· Attentive and accurate detail capability
· Crazy about deadlines. You get the job done!
· Recent Business degree or Hands On Accounting Experience.
. 1-2 years of accounting experience is acceptable in lieu of degree.
· Intermediate level ability with Excel including basic formulas and formatting
· Communication skills to write professional emails to anyone
· Be Organized. You must be able to manage many different tasks throughout the day, get interrupted and keep track of your to-dos and deadlines.
· Be Adventurous. You love a challenge to be given a project and work with different team members to see that project completed from start to finish. You enjoy taking on something you haven’t done before
· Be Independent and Team Oriented. You work well both as an individual and in a team towards the common goal of a successful day for the department & the company.
