Universal Banker

Miami, FL

Work Hours: 7:15 AM – 4:00 PM (M-F)

VIP Executive Search is seeking a Universal Banker to join a highly respected Credit Union in Miami.

This multifaceted role combines traditional teller responsibilities, new account openings, loan support, and member relationship development. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, provides exceptional member service, and supports organizational goals with integrity and excellence. This role provides service and support to members both in person and over the phone, with the majority of interactions conducted via phone to ensure prompt and efficient member assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist members and visitors professionally and courteously.
• Deliver prompt, accurate, and efficient service across all transactions.
• Maintain knowledge of and compliance with all internal policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, CIP, and OFAC.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity in line with anti-money laundering regulations.
• Stay current with robbery procedures and complete all assigned training.
• Open and manage deposit accounts, prepare necessary documentation, and ensure accurate disclosures.
• Process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, transfers, and statement requests.
• Support members with online and mobile banking, including password resets, bill payments, and Zelle transactions.
• Assist members with loan applications and recommend financial products aligned with their goals.
• Promote credit union services, current promotions, contests, and account features.
• Ensure all documents are accurately scanned and maintained in member records.
• Participate in community outreach and financial literacy initiatives.
• Notarize documents as needed and report unusual account activity or potential fraud.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Minimum two years’ experience in member services and branch operations ideally within a credit union.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional education a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to read, interpret, and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and banking systems.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to recommend solutions.
