**Job Title:** Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (EP RN)

**Job Type:** 3x12 Hour Shifts

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (EP RN) to join our team. In this role, you will be critical in performing diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and interventions in a clinical setting.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Prepare patients for electrophysiological procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
- Verify that all necessary equipment and instrumentation is functional and available prior to procedures.
- Monitor real-time readouts or recordings during procedures and assist with data analysis and interpretation.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthetists, and in-room staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
- Assist with pacing implementation and other interventions related to cardiac health.
- Maintain a focus on patient safety and well-being throughout the procedure, particularly during ablations and device implants.
- Document all procedures accurately using the Epic system, ensuring compliance with medical standards.
- Engage in patient education regarding electrophysiology procedures and potential outcomes.

**Qualifications:**

- Valid RN License in New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrophysiology or related clinical settings.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
- Proficiency in moderate sedation is essential.
- Experience with cardiac implant procedures or structural heart scrub roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems is beneficial.

**Typical Procedures Performed:**

- RF ablations (and Cryo ablations) for Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, Atrial Tachycardia, AVNRT, and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
- Device implants including traditional pacemakers, ICDs, Subcutaneous ICDs, Leadless pacemakers, and LAAC procedures such as Watchmans and Amulets.
- Assistance with high-risk electrophysiology procedures utilizing laser technology.

**Schedule:**

- 3 x 12 hour shifts, primarily days with some late-night shifts, holidays, and on-call duties based on unit needs. No weekend shifts required.
