RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown

Job Details:

\n

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• Float pool position covering multiple units: MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses, including inpatients holding in ED
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Must work Christmas holiday as part of permanent staff rotation
\n• Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
\n• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
\n• Unit assignments provided 2 hours prior to shift start via text message from staffing office
\n• Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time - flexibility required
\n• Night shift may accommodate block scheduling
\n• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West MedTele and PCU
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
\n• Must have at least 1 year PCU experience
\n• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
\n• Must be able to interpret telemetry strips
\n• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post MI, post cardiac catheterization, and CABG post-op day 3-4
\n• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow
\n• Dress code: Solid color professional scrubs (transitioning to Navy scrubs in October)
\n• Use Cerner charting system
\n• Work with nursing aids and monitor techs available
\n• No call or standby requirements
\n• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)

This regional medical center operates across two campuses providing comprehensive acute care services. The facility features a strong cardiac catheterization lab program and specializes in caring for cardiac, orthopedic, and geriatric patient populations. The medical center maintains modern equipment and technology including advanced respiratory support systems and telemetry monitoring capabilities across multiple units including stepdown, medical telemetry, and progressive care units.
