Senior UX Writer and Content Designer, Search AI

Join the Search team at Google to design and deliver product content that helps users unlock AI in Search.

About The Job

As a UX writer, you are an advocate for Google design, shaping product experiences by creating useful, meaningful text that helps users complete tasks. You help set the vision for content and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touch points. You collaborate with researchers, product managers, engineers, marketing, and customer operations to establish unified voice across products.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in UX writing, content design, technical writing, editorial, marketing, or related fields, and leading content strategy projects.
  • Experience with UX-focused product writing and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Portfolio, website, or other relevant link to your work.

Preferred qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in writing, editorial, marketing, or UX writing in an agency setting.
  • Experience partnering with product and engineering teams, UX design, and research to manage accelerated timelines.
  • Experience collaborating with UX Design and Research to develop and improve user experiences.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and interact with senior leadership.
  • Proactive selfdriven approach in a fastpaced, crossfunctional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio showcasing copywriting and content analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with crossfunctional stakeholders to build and evolve AI and generative AI experiences.
  • Lead content design for key work streams; scope opportunities, set the plan, and deliver highquality UX deliverables that shape product experiences.
  • Influence UX and crossfunctional partnerships to align stakeholder expectations, drive understanding, and advocate for userfocused content experiences.
  • Define and drive the creation of UX writing and content design frameworks and holistic content strategies, including principles, patterns, and systems.
  • Own outcomes for multiple projects or programs, setting or communicating product direction and priorities that have significant impact across teams.

Salary

The US base salary range for this fulltime position is $138,000$202,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
