Role: Senior Software Engineering Manager

Im partnered with a fast-growing, early-stage startup that recently secured Series A funding and has ambitious expansion plans through the end of the year. Theyve developed an innovative AI-powered product for the healthcare sector, designed to transform the way patients receive care in the future.

They are looking for a seasoned engineering leader who can amplify the impact of their technical organization. In this role, youll guide a talented group of engineers, shape the way they build and deliver software, and ensure they are creating reliable, scalable systems that move quickly from idea to production. Youll balance people leadership with technical involvement steering architecture discussions, supporting rapid iteration, and keeping development aligned with real customer needs. Your impact will span team growth, engineering best practices, and the delivery of products that expand access to critical healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and expand a team responsible for core platform capabilities and AI-driven workflows
• Work closely with product, design, and deployment-focused teams to define priorities and drive execution
• Uphold strong standards for architecture, design, and code quality
• Contribute to scaling the organization by recruiting, onboarding, and coaching engineers
• Create an environment that is fast-moving yet sustainable, where engineers can thrive
• Play an active role in technical strategy and help shape the roadmap as the company grows into new areas

Required Background

• 5+ years managing engineering teams in dynamic, high-growth settings
• Strong technical foundation, with depth in backend infrastructure, distributed systems, or AI/ML platforms
• Demonstrated success collaborating across product, design, and customer-facing groups
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in ambiguous situations

Bonus Skills

• Experience working in startups or healthcare/healthtech industries
• Familiarity with large language models, autonomous agent frameworks, or AI infrastructure
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, data pipelines, and secure integrations in regulated environments
• Clear perspective on engineering processes along with the flexibility to adapt them as the team evolves
