What are the major objectives of the role: This temporary Scheduler position is a strategic role designed to support complex project timelines within the CES department. The combination of technical skills, project management proficiency, and collaboration requirements reflects the organization's commitment to effective project execution and delivery.
Responsibilities/Job Description: - The Scheduler is expected to have significant hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, emphasizing their importance in planning and controlling project timelines.
- Key duties include developing and maintaining project schedules, establishing baselines, updating progress, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders, performing schedule analysis, and generating comprehensive reports (such as look-ahead schedules, resource forecasts, and variance analysis).
- The role demands adherence to organizational scheduling standards and documentation requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance.
What are the MUST HAVE Professional or Technical skills for this position? - 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling, specifically for large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of the Critical Path Method (CPM) is required.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What are the NICE TO HAVE skills for this position - Experience in infrastructure, utilities, or capital projects is desirable.
- Familiarity with outage planning and coordination is considered an asset.
Education or Certification Requirement: 1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
