Job Description FlatRate Moving is currently seeking an experienced QuickBooks Bookkeeper with a strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel to become an integral part of our team! FlatRate’s Headquarters office is located in the South of Bronx (One stop from Manhattan on the 6 train). Key Tasks and Responsibilities Obtain primary financial data for accounting records Compute and record numerical data Check the accuracy of business transactions Perform data entry and administrative duties Review, enter and process invoices Match purchase orders with invoices Process daily charges of storage and moving customers Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information Perform daily cash management transactions in QuickBooks Maintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements Process accounts receivable Maintain orderly accounting filing system Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements Protect organizations’ value by keeping information confidential Requirements Proven Bookkeeping experience 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance or other related fields Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & QuickBooks Experience in Accounts Receivable Experience in payroll processing is a plus Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software Ability to multi task and work well under pressure Deadline and detail‑oriented Benefits Health Insurance, Dental & Vision plan Company Description Founded in 1991, FlatRate Moving® introduced a novel concept - offering the highest levels of customer experience for an all-inclusive and unwavering Guaranteed Price.
