Silicon Valley International School is looking for a dependable On-Call School Bus Driver to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for transporting students safely to and from school, as well as between different campuses and to extracurricular events when required. This involves following a specific route and ensuring the safety of all passengers.
This position is on an on-call basis, meaning you will be contacted to work as needed rather than following a fixed schedule. Flexibility and readiness to respond at short notice are essential for this role.
As a School Bus Driver, your responsibilities will include conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good condition, adhering to safety and traffic regulations during the journey, and maintaining order and discipline among students on board. Effective communication with students, parents, and school staff is expected, along with providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. The School Bus Driver plays a critical role in providing safe and reliable transportation for students, ultimately contributing to their overall school experience.
The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience as a school bus driver. This role requires drivers to follow a split shift schedule from Monday to Friday, which may change based on operational requirements. Please be aware that during mandatory training periods, days off may be adjusted to accommodate scheduled training courses, which can occur on weekends or evenings.
This position is classified as seasonal and on-call, and is therefore considered non-exempt. Compensation will be provided on an hourly basis. We are pleased to offer a competitive salary structure that reflects the individual's education, expertise, and full accreditation. The hourly compensation rate is derived from a full-time equivalent annual salary range of $67,568 (Step 1) to $81,635 (Step 20).
Please note that this position does not offer sponsorship opportunities for candidates requiring employment authorization to work in the United States.
