Occupational Therapist - Providence Valdez at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Occupational Therapist at Providence Valdez Medical Center provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of occupational therapy services for a diverse patient population in compliance with professional and regulatory standards. The role involves collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure patient-centered care across inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings. Description

Assesses, plans implements, and evaluates occupational therapy services within the guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Provides services to inpatients, outpatients, swing bed patients, and long term care residents. Collaborates with other team members to plan and provide important aspects of care, in compliance with medical center standards and guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapists Association in conjunction with regulatory requirements of both federal and state agencies.

Position is full time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Day shifts, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Located onsite at Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, AK!

$10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Occupational Therapy or
  • Master's Degree: Occupational Therapy or
  • Ph.D: Occupational Therapy.
  • Upon hire: Alaska Occupational Therapist License Or
  • Upon hire: Alaska Occupational Therapist Limited Permit License Or
  • Upon hire: Alaska Occupational Therapist Temporary License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years: Experience in subspecialty.
