MDS Manager (RN) - Join Our Leadership Team in Long-Term Care!
Facility: Samaritan Summit Village - Watertown, NY
Type: Permanent | Salary: $85,280 - $99,840 annually
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 (2-year commitment)

Are you a skilled RN with MDS expertise looking to lead clinical documentation and support exceptional resident care? Samaritan Summit Village is seeking a dedicated MDS Manager to join our dynamic long-term care team and ensure compliance, accuracy, and optimal resident outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain accurate and timely MDS assessments in compliance with state, federal, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines.
• Serve as the facility expert on MDS/RUGS , providing education to staff and ensuring proper documentation for clinical, regulatory, and financial needs.
• Conduct audits and quality reviews to identify risk areas and optimize reimbursement.
• Act as a liaison between medical providers, residents, families, and payers.
• Coordinate resident care conferences to facilitate appropriate services and levels of care.
• Participate in government surveys and audits , ensuring compliance and readiness.

What We're Looking For:

• Active NYS RN license required (RNAC certification preferred).
• Previous long-term care/geriatric experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of MDS, PPS, Medicare/Medicaid, and LTC regulations .
• Experience in quality assurance, documentation review, and appeals .
• Confident in planning, organization, and interdisciplinary communication .
