Join to apply for the Lab Technician / Forensic role at Axis Forensic Toxicology, Inc. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm Department: Accessioning/Data Entry Temp Position 3-6 months – possibility of turning into permanent role Position Summary Performs tasks that result in the accurate and timely determination of drugs and chemicals in specimens. Duties & Responsibilities Quantitatively aliquots blood and urine specimens for testing Quantitatively aliquots controls and standards for use during testing Understands the principles of and competently performs liquid‑liquid, solid‑phase, and protein precipitation extractions on specimens Performs proper disposal of specimens Performs data entry of casework Participates in improvement of analytical methodologies Follows established standard operating procedures, laboratory and chemical safety procedures, and documentation procedures Completes assignments based on priorities and deadlines Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and internal/external clients and takes appropriate action Continually looks for ways to improve and promote quality Other duties or tasks assigned by designated personnel Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisor responsibilities.
