Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Wound Care Facility

Location: Casper, Riverton, Rock Springs, Gillette, Cheyenne.

Employment Type: Fulltime/ Parttime.
Reports To: Medical Director/Director of Nursing

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our specialty wound care facility. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering high-quality care to patients with complex wound conditions. You will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients' wound care needs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with various types of wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure sores, venous stasis ulcers, and surgical wounds.
- Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans, including debridement, dressing changes, and adjunct therapies (e.g., negative pressure wound therapy).
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families on wound care management, prevention strategies, and nutritional counseling to support the healing process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes in a cohesive team environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records (EHR) of assessments, treatment plans, patient progress, and communications per clinic protocols.
- Research Participation: Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives aimed at advancing wound care practices and enhancing patient outcomes.
- Follow-Up Care: Monitor patient progress with regular follow-up visits, adjusting treatment plans based on wounds' response to therapy.

Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current Nurse Practitioner license in Wyoming, with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP). Will Train New Grads.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in wound care, dermatology, or a related specialty preferred. Experience in a specialty clinic setting is a plus.
- Certifications: Wound Care Certification (WCC), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), or equivalent preferred. Candidates without certification must be willing to pursue certification within the first year. Will train the right person that is a fit with our team.

- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills with a thorough understanding of wound care principles.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Proficient in utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload while being a proactive team player.
- Commitment to continuous professional learning and staying updated with evolving wound care standards.
