Our client , a leading golf products company, is seeking a CNC Operator/Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Operator/Machinist, you will be part of the Engineering Technology department , supporting both R&D and production teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset that aligns well with the organization.

Job Title: CNC Operator/Machinist
Location: New Bedford, MA
Pay Range: Competitive + 10% shift differential (for second shift)
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

What’s the Job?

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes, Mills, Wire EDM, and Ram EDM machines to fabricate parts for manufacturing equipment and golf ball mold cups

• Adjust offsets, speeds, and feeds to meet tolerance and surface finish standards

• Download programs and set up cutting tools and work-holding solutions (e.g., collets or jaws)

• Conduct inspections using precision measuring tools to verify part conformance

• Detect equipment malfunctions and make in-process adjustments to maintain quality

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including checking coolant, oil levels, and lubrication

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment aligned with company safety standards

What’s Needed?

• CNC Machinist training or completion of a CNC Machinist program at a technical school

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC setup , including lathes, 5-axis mills, and EDMs

• Knowledge of blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators

• Strong basic math and geometry skills

• Ability to troubleshoot, modify programs, and adjust machine parameters

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Must maintain a positive and professional work environment
