Meadowview of Johnston, a  Cassia community in Johnston, IA , is hiring Caregiver (CNAs, HHAs, or PCAs) to join our team. This is a great opportunity for those seeking entry-level work or wanting to learn and grow in a healthcare setting.  No experience is needed as we will provide training to set you up for success.  Meadowview of Johnston is a welcoming senior care community where your skills are valued and your dedication to excellent care makes an impact.

As a Caregiver at Meadowview of Johnston , you will join our team of professional caregivers to become an important part of our residents' lives. We are seeking people who are team players and who are also comfortable working independently. 

 

Position Type: Full-Time

 

Available Shifts:
Evenings 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Nights (NOC) 10:30 PM - 7:00 PM 

Location:  5555 Pioneer Parkway, Johnston, IA 50131

 

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the nurse.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Caregiver Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Attendant (PCA), or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) experience preferred, but not required. We will train you!
• A passion for geriatric care. 
• Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital. 
• Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors.
• Must be 18 years or older.
