Job Summary

Under the general direction of the supervisor, assist in all aspects of a NCAA Division I women's cross country and track & eld program including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, assisting with the administration of summer camps and clinics, and administration of the women's cross country program in full compliance with NCAA and university rules and regulations. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

• no Minimum Education requirement.
• Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of track & field.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of the rules and strategies of track & eld. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level. Skills to interact effectively and establish cooperative working relationships with UC Davis student-athletes, coaching colleagues, department staff and other persons from diverse backgrounds including parents, fans, boosters, members of the media and ocials associated with the sport.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, Big West Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.

Work Environment
